come on...give em a break

I dont see the big deal. Everyone famous is doing it so really why all the fuss. Yes its stupid. Yes its all pointless. Yes its a joke. But you would all do it to if you had the opportunity. I am a big sports fan always have been and it doesnt bother me at all to see some of my favorites in commercials. If i have to watch them anyway then it might even make me kinda happy to see them. It might be kinda smart if your trying to draw in the female population. If you ask most females if they know any athletes than they are ganna tell you celebrity athletes like the Mannings :) who doesnt love Payton and Eli. Peyton Manning hosted Saturday Night Live and it was one of my favorite epidoes! Hilarious! One thing that does piss me off was the NFL Lockdown. REALLY? Like these guys dont get enough $ and, with all these freaking endorsement opportunities is it necessary to go on strike untill you get MORE $..... I dont think so.Thankfully it has been lifted and as it turns out there will be football this year :) If these celbrities do decide to make thier names a "family" name and go more public than all the other thousand od professional athletes than they should take it in to concideration that they are more liked lol than the others and people and probably KIDS look up to them and should be more careful than to get envolved in a scandel. But if your REALLY REALY well liked than it doesnt matter lol. Take Kobe Bryant..... you can cheat on your smokin hott wife and get accused of rape and still win the NBA Championship 5 times! But ask me if I care....Nope lol he's still my favorite NBA player. If your a sports fan your ganna look at a player by how he plays on the field or the court and thats whats ganna matter because in the world of sports thats what counts nothing else PERIOD.

The poor rich and famous

Everyone is worried that with social media outlets like youtube, facebook, and all the other addicting and time consuming websites out there along with the music "sharing websites that the music is in trouble. Well yeah......maybe...... actually not necessarily lol well since to one is a psychic because they arent real no one can know for sure. A few years ago artists were ranking in thier money from album sales. If you liked a song u had to go aout and buy the whole album, even if all the other songs totally sucked! Thats when Napster was created, the 1st music sharing website. Shawn Fanning created it so that people could selectively download the songs of thier choice and could pick through and sample other peoples music collections. This totally pissed off the music business....and it should have lol its basiclly stealing. But who am i to judge?

Although music album sales are going down and iTunes song downloads are down (because people dont want to have to pay) musicians and record labels can use these other forms of mediums to sell out concerts and merchandise. I dont think that pop artists now-a-days are going to die if they earn alittle less (even though id probaably like it if most of them did!) But if it matters that much they can turn to advertisers and put products in thier videos and photo shoots. Does this make Drake a sell out? Personlly i thought the comercial was gay. My point is there is plenty of money out there to be made (if ur a celebrity!) its just shifting and they might have to work a tiny bit more to get it. I know, the poor rich and famous right?

The News of Today..True or Real?

Ok, so I try REALLY hard to not get into politics with other people because it just gives me a headache. It's just a bunch of people who like to aruge, arguing. I know what your thinking the news and politics are two different things..... are they really? Aside from local news, networks are full of polititions wanting to have a say in whats going on. Larry King and Bill O'Reilly are two well known news commentators, both are very different. Some will say that Bill O'Reilly is rather "rude" and or "disrespectful", but i say he's just opinionated. Quick preview ---->  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25uyFwWPOZg.
He's allowed to have an opinion right? He just makes it well known what he believes. If you dont like it.....don't watch dont listen. Plain and simple. Larry King might not be as loud and aggressive as O'Reilly (old age might be playing a factor there) but he can still be every bit as pushy when he wants. Check it -----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZwVVW2tqQM.

The thing is, is that they have the right to thier opinions..as well as everyone else. It doesnt matter what political party you belong to because no matter what you watch or listen to, you cant trust that the information you are getting is straight forward and unbiased because EVERYONE is biased and will report the news accordingly. Journalists, polititions, news commentators they all have a way of asking questions in a very specific way to influence to way someone will answer....the way they want them to answer. For me its a red flag that this is the way the world is now, opinionated and  hard headed and thats how it wants its news. I think people just need to be aware of how things are now-a-days and know that you cant trust everyone and everything they tell you because it's mostly opinion with SOME facts thrown in there too.

It might be madness.....but its kinda genius.

Im going to be honest here, the only newspaper that i've picked up more than once is The Dundalk Eagle. Now, ive got copies of The Tennessean, The Niagra Gazette and The New York Times but those are just collectors because I thought it would be cool to save a copy from some of the places i've traveled too. My family has had a subscription to The Eagle for as long as I can possibly remember, I don't remember a time that we didn't have one lying around. If it wasn't sitting on the table in my way everyday I dont think I would have ever flip through it. That was untill I started working at a local marina. Every year The Eagle runs this awards competion for local establishment and everyone goes frikin nuts. We are supose to "campaign" for our snoball stand for " Best Deserts " by handing out papers to every customer and hounding them with our desperate attempts to charm them into voting for us. Really? These competitions have gotten so outta hand that people have been cheating and ballot stuffing just so they can get a piece of paper in a frame saying that the good 'ol people of dundalk think they are the best....again .....really? Dont believe me? Here check it out .Eagle Awards: old faves, and some ballot stuffing

[NYT-Weekday-Circulation-1993-2007.JPG]     Although the whole award thing kinda gets on my nerves because ive been "competing" in them for the last 5 years....I must say that it is a very smart idea from the newspapers perspective. All these businesses buying stacks of them to cut out and hand to thier customers and persuading them to buy more and have each and EVERY family member fill them out.....the sales during the summer have to be phenominal!!! I wonder if they even care that people are ballot stuffing? I mean why would they, they are still making a shit load of maoney off of this thing. I think every newspaper shoud take a look into dundalks way of bringing in the money and maybe this ^ (thats an arrow head pointing to my handy graph) wouldn't be happening all over the country. Looks like dundalk didnt screw everything up.

See we all know that this isn't real...and just a scene from the new movie but I almost bought it. Good way to sell a magazine? Or is it just lying?
Due to the sucky government and them blocking the interent the citizens took to the streets... did u know that it was the biggest riot since the 1970's?? I didnt......
Honestly, i feel bad for celebrities. If i had the choice to become famous i dont know if i would be able to committ to a lifestyle that had such a high price to pay, such as sacrificing ALL of your privacy. I think its sad the the only entertainment that americans buy is gossip about our favorite celebs that we all know isn't real anyway. When you are in line at the store and you see all of these different magazine about the same people...to me its boring. It makes me think that everyone is starting to become the same. The same drama loving, blissfully ignorant breed of humans. And the thing that scares me is that I actually want to buy them! What does this say about me? So I buy one. As im flipping throught them i cant find any information that i find useful or interesting at all. its kind of amazing how people have forgotten all the important things to read about and be caught up in. I forgot. I have been much to involved in whats going on with Kristen and Rob to know that in Egypt the president blocked the internet... like Twitter and Facebook from its citizens? Can u just imgaine if something like that were to happen here? I asked my family memebers if they knew what was going on over there and the only person who had any idea about the situation was my mother. I guess that as you get older the things that interest you change a little bit, because i couldnt find one person who didnt know who Kristen Stuart and Robert Pattinson were but my mom couldnt careless who they were. So i guess my generation has to wait till we get older in order to have an intellegent conversation. I have to admit that im guilty for all of these crimes on not caring but i think its important for me to make an effort to be more aware of these things that are occuring all over our world, beacuase how are we supose to help if we dont know there is a problem?
